This course is designed to take a person through all the legislative and regulatory requirements to obtain a permit, to catch and relocate snakes and other reptiles from property including creating a safe workplace for others.

Over the past 15 years this course has undergone a number of changes to ensure the highest quality of training and safety is adhered to.  With input from some of Australia's leading herpetologists it is now one of the most popular courses in the industry. 

This course is approved by Wildlife Departments throughout Australia and adheres to 13 National Standards in Education and Training. We have also worked with various Animal Ethics Committees to obtain appropriate permits (Teaching and Scientific user permits).

About the instructor

Sean is the owner and director of Snakehandler and has operated the business since 2005, with a Bachelor Degree in Science, Graduate Diploma in Education along with Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment and Training and Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety he has looked at creating the safest venomous snake handling course in Australia.

Having conducted training not only in Australia but also overseas his experience and wealth of knowledge is extensive, but most importantly he is always wanting to learn more.
